Neither of these options will require abrasive cleaners.

Stainless steel doesn't tarnish.

Another amazing trait of stainless steel jewelry is the fact that it doesn't tarnish or rust.  This allows for this type of jewelry to be worn at all times and it really doesn't need to be removed while swimming or showering either.  You should remove your jewelry at all times when you are doing crafting or things that might get paint or other substances on the jewelry to simply protect it.  Like your clothing, your jewelry needs to be protected during certain activities.

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to clean your stainless steel jewelry, we would recommend getting some baking soda.  Baking soda is great for capturing odors in your fridge and it acts well as a cleaner as well.  All you need is an inexpensive box of baking soda and water to get the job done.  Mix the water and baking soda together to form a bit of a paste.  You can simply use your hands to rub it onto the jewelry but some prefer to use an old toothbrush.

Scrub the jewelry gently until clean.  Once clean, simply rinse the piece of jewelry underwater to rinse away any remaining baking soda.  You can then wipe the jewelry off with a soft towel or napkin to remove any access water.  Be sure to lay it out to dry as well.  This will ensure that all the extra water is gone before putting it away.
